Autumn Leaves'Autumn Leaves' is an original fine art scratchboard drawing in black, white and color. The scratchboard size is 6 in x 4 in. This miniature was done with an exacto blade on black scratchboard. Very fine lines were drawn in layers, slowly building up the detail and highlights. To add color to this image, most of the black ink was removed from the areas that I wanted color. Then a brush was used to apply opaque watercolor like I would oils paints. Please note that the squiggly line effect is caused by digitizing the image for the internet. The lines on the actual drawing are smooth. And keep in mind that color shows up differently on individual monitors. The colors in this image are very rich. Purchase of this original artwork does not include the copyrights. The copyrights are retained by the artist, Denise M. DesLauriers. The copyright notice on the image is for protection purposes only. The text does not appear on the original drawing.
