Dragon on the Third Moon

'Dragon on the Third Moon' is an original fine art scratchboard drawing in black, white and color. The scratchboard size is 4 in x 6 in. An alien dragon warms himself in the rays of a far away star. This miniature drawing was done with an exacto blade on black scratchboard. I created part of this image by removing the black ink, then I applied the color (opaque watercolors) with a small brush. In some areas the color was applied directly over the black ink to deepen the shadows or provide depth. I strengthened some of the highlights with the exacto blade. Please note that the squiggle line effect is caused by digitizing the image for the internet. The lines in the original drawing are smooth.
