Great Gray Owls'Great Gray Owls' is an original fine art scratchboard drawing in black and white. The board size is 6 in x 18 in. I love creating birds on scratchboard. The etching of the feathers into the black board brings the birds alive. And owls are my favorite birds. This entire drawing was done with an exacto blade on black scratchboard. Very fine lines were drawn in layers, slowly building up the detail and highlights. Tiny dots were used to bring life to the eyes. Be sure to view the detail images below. Please note that the squiggly line effect is caused by digitizing the image for the internet. The lines on the actual drawing are smooth.
