Hillside Garden

'Hillside Garden' is an original fine art scratchboard drawing in black and white. The scratchboard size is 8 in x 10 in. The sun warms this early summer farm landscape. Wildflowers dot the hillside under the great old tree. And clouds are beginning to build in the sky with hopes of gentle rains. This entire drawing was done with an exacto blade on black scratchboard. Very fine lines were drawn in layers, slowly building up the detail and highlights. Tiny dots were used to create the clouds in the sky. Please note that the squiggly line effect is caused by digitizing the image for the internet. The lines on the actual drawing are smooth.
