Irish Eyes

'Irish Eyes' is an original fine art scratchboard drawing in black and white. The scratchboard size is 4 in x 6 in. Most of the dogs I've drawn have been for commissioned art. But I hope to add more of these lovable creatures to my gallery in the future. This entire miniature drawing was done with an exacto blade on black scratchboard. Very fine lines were drawn in layers, slowly building up the detail and highlights. Tiny dots were used to bring life to the eyes and to create the nose. Please note that the squiggly line effect is caused by digitizing the image for the internet. The lines on the actual drawing are smooth.
