Cat Eyes - Lazare

'Cat Eyes - Lazare' is an original fine art scratchboard drawing in black and white. The scratchboard size is 6 in x 4 in. This is another drawing in my 'Cat Eyes' series. I created this drawing of one of my cats, for the Worldwide Women Artists' Exhibition, titled 'Remembrances'. This entire miniature artwork was done with an exacto blade on black scratchboard. Very fine lines were drawn in layers, slowly building up the detail and highlights. Tiny dots were used to bring life to the eyes and create the nose. Please note that the squiggly line effect is caused by digitizing the image for the internet. The lines on the actual drawing are smooth.
