Pegasus

'Pegasus' is an original fine art scratchboard drawing in black, white and color. The scratchboard size is 4 in x 6 in. This image is another that is similar to an embroidery design I once created. There is something so regal about Pegasus and I wanted to convey that in this drawing. I started this miniature drawing by removing the black ink from some parts, then applying opaque watercolor with a small brush. In some areas the color was applied over the black ink to deepen the shadows or provide depth. I strengthened some of the highlights and created the feathers with an exacto blade. Please note that the squiggly line effect is caused by digitizing the image for the internet. The lines on the actual drawing are smooth.
