Tiger - Mesmerize

'Tiger - Mesmerize' is an original fine art scratchboard drawing in black and white. The scratchboard size is 8 in x 10 in. There is something mesmerizing about the stare of a cat. It can kindle fear and fascination in us, especially in a cat this big! This entire drawing was done with an exacto blade on black scratchboard. Very fine lines were drawn in layers, slowly building up the detail and highlights. Tiny dots were used to bring life to the eyes and create the nose. Please note that the squiggly line effect is caused by digitizing the image for the internet. The lines on the actual drawing are smooth.
