Winter River

'Winter River' is an original fine art scratchboard ACEO miniature drawing in black, white and full color. The scratchboard size is 2 1/2 in x 3 1/2 in. Moonlight sparkles off the snow and the cold mountain river. This tiny miniature artwork was done with an exacto blade on black scratchboard. Very fine lines were drawn to create the detail and highlights. Tiny dots were used to create the sky. For the color, I use a small brush to apply opaque watercolor. Be sure to view the detail images below. Please note that the squiggly line effect is caused by digitizing the image for the internet. The lines on the actual painting are smooth. And keep in mind that color shows up differently on individual monitors. The color is much richer in the original. The copyright notice on the image is for protection purposes only.
