Winter Sun

'Winter Sun' is an original fine art scratchboard ACEO miniature drawing in full color. The scratchboard size is 2 1/2 in x 3 1/2 in. The cold winter sun shines thru the woodland trees. This tiny miniature artwork was done with an exacto blade on black scratchboard and demonstrates how even in such a small drawing, drama can be created. Very fine lines were drawn to create the detail and highlights. For the color, I use a small brush to apply opaque watercolor. Be sure to view the detail images below. Please note that the squiggly line effect is caused by digitizing the image for the internet. The lines on the actual painting are smooth. And keep in mind that color shows up differently on individual monitors. The color is much richer in the original. The copyright notice on the image is for protection purposes only.
