Wolf Moon

'Wolf Moon' is an original fine art scratchboard drawing in black and white. The image size is 12"x 18". Wolves make a perfect subject for my 'Moon Series'. Not only are they mysterious in their own right, but there is something haunting in the song that they sing to a full moon. This entire drawing was done with an exacto blade on black scratchboard. Very fine lines were drawn in layers, slowly building up the detail and highlights. I used tiny dots to bring life to the eyes, create the nose, to highlight the tree line and add stars to the night sky. (The copyright notice on the images is for protection purposes only. The text does not appear on the original drawing.) Please note that the squiggly line effect is caused by digitizing the image for the internet. The lines on the actual drawing are smooth.
